# Scoring

> Configure short-call scoring thresholds

Use the **Scoring** tab in Account Settings to control when a call is considered too short to score reliably.

If a call falls below any configured minimum, EmberQA marks it as a short transcription and excludes it from scoring.

## Set Short-Call Rules

Use these settings to avoid scoring calls that do not contain enough conversation to evaluate fairly.

The default thresholds are:

* **Minimum Word Count**: 50 words
* **Minimum Call Duration**: 30 seconds
* **Minimum Speaker Exchanges**: 2 exchanges

Raise thresholds if short calls are still being scored when they should be excluded. Lower them only if legitimate calls are being marked too short.

## Updating Scoring Configuration

1. Open **Account Settings > Scoring**
2. Update one or more threshold values
3. Click **Save Changes**

Use **Discard Changes** to reset the form back to the currently saved configuration.
